after update to 1.6 rom i can't turn on my phone. It's just heng on orange start up screen.I tryd to do hard resett but it's dont help.... :cry:

Only thing I can recommend is to put it in the bootloader and rerun the update

If you do a search on '101 connection' I think you may find some help...

Based on briefly looking through that thread above it seems like that error can occur if you are trying to update on a PC that has win 98 or maybe even ME... Also make sure the WSECOMM.EXE and WCESMGR.exe is not running in the Task Manager of your PC when updating.

Have you tried re-applying the update from the tricolour screen?

I did that I think 200 times and tryd to upgrade/dowungrade to other rom inn two days

if I turn phone on so i get orange start up screen and it is there till there is not more power in battery.

If I trying to upgrade/downgrade I just got diffrent error, :x

Don't know if it's too late for this advice, but I didn't see how long you waited at the Orange screen.

Mine stuck there for about three or four minutes the first time, then I got asked for my SIM PIN and after a minute or so of 'please wait' type messages, it restarted again and came up normal.

Yep it will stay on the sunset screen for a while as it's rewriting the IPSM.

Ps you will have more chance of an earlier reply if you post in the correct section, ie Help and Advice :lol:

Don't throw away the phone! If Orange's update broke it then they owe you a new phone.

Have you tried calling OCS?

Don't know if it's too late for this advice, but I didn't see how long you waited at the Orange screen

I wait on orange screen 10 - 12 hours

Are you using windows 98 or ME? I don't think it works with these OS's...

Do you have power to the cradle? Some people have reported problems if there is no power...

Is your SPV connected to a usb hub instead of a usb port directly on your PC? I've read somewhere where it can cause problems with a usb hub...

Do you have the option of running the update on a different PC? Some people have said that worked...

I chang my old NOKIA 6100 to QTEK7070

upgrade rom from 1,3 to 1,5 qtek successful

upgrade from rom 1,5 to orang 1,6 with rompach successful

now I have a QTEK7070 with orange rom 1,6 unlock sim and unlock for app

OOOHHH I AM SOOOO HAPPY :lol: :D :)

and a reseve QTEK 8)
