A few simple questions?

Hello once more,

I have a couple of questions...(My phone is a Mpx200)

1. Whenever I use activesync (1.6) I can not see the backup/restore dialog box, it is always shaded out, any ideas? It sees the phone alright though and I can Tx stuff to it.

2. I have SP task manager on my phone and it is good for shutting down stuff, but, instead of navigating all the way to it, can it be accesed directly from the homescreen in any way, or even moved in the order of programs?

I am assuming that the MPX200 works in the same way as the SPV, if it does then you can create a speed dial so that you can access Task Manager from the Home Screen.

Just select programs at the Home screen and scroll through the programs till you get to Task Manager (or any program that you want to create a speed dial for), when that is highlighted select the Menu and then Add Speed Dial and choose the number you want to be the speed dial.

After that you can just press and hold the number to get to the program. :lol:

As of now, no version of ActiveSync can backup a Smartphone.

I think there are some 3rd party programs out there, but I've never used one. Maybe someone else could recommend one.

rogerbates was right on with the "assigning a speed dial button to an applicaton". That didn't make much logical sense to me at first -- speed dial a program?! But it works, so .. :lol:
