Guest christiandransfield Posted December 13, 2003 Report Posted December 13, 2003 I've just hard reset the SPV phone that I recntly bought from someone on ebay. The previous owner must have successfully installed the latest update as I looked at the version number and it matched the number of the latest update. After I reset the phone however, the version had obviously gone back to the original. As a result of this I downloaded the installation program off the Orange website to install the latest version but when I start it it says that it's having problems connecing with the phone and to check that the power cable is plugged into the charger, the charger into the pc, and the phone into the charger. I've done all this and it's still coming up with this problem! What am i doing wrong??? Cheers. Chris.
Guest awarner [MVP] Posted December 13, 2003 Report Posted December 13, 2003 Hard Reset will not take the phone to a previous update as it only wipes the IPSM and does not alter the ROM in any way. Run the update from the canary screen.
Guest christiandransfield Posted December 13, 2003 Report Posted December 13, 2003 Yeah, I didn't think it would change it but it did for some reason :s I'll try updating it on the canary screen. Cheers. Chris.
Guest awarner [MVP] Posted December 13, 2003 Report Posted December 13, 2003 Sorry but it's impossible for that to happen, goodluck with updating
