Guest davethe bulldog Posted December 13, 2003 Report Posted December 13, 2003 Does anyone know how to transfer over internet sites to my phone, is there a program that lets you do this? What I mean is to tx over addresses...instead of having to type them in uing the phone. Dave
Guest zeta101 Posted December 13, 2003 Report Posted December 13, 2003 Yes there is...on your pc browse your smartphones directory and go to: IPSM/Windows/Favorites Now still on your PC, load internet explorer and find a site you want to save. In the adress bar (where it tells you the URL of the site) there is a tiny icon to the left of the address (it looks like a white page with the blue IE logo on it) now CLICK HOLD AND DRAG the icon into tha smartphone favorite folder you have open. Thats pretty much the quickest way. Let us know if you have any problems.
Guest Disco Stu Posted December 30, 2003 Report Posted December 30, 2003 Doesn't seem to work for me on my Mum's XP Home PC. I can't drag the icon out of the IE window.
Guest zeta101 Posted January 1, 2004 Report Posted January 1, 2004 ok then, you can add the site you want to your normal computer favorites and then go to windows/favorites on your PC and copy the shortcuts from there to your phone...that should work no problem
Guest nickcornaglia Posted January 1, 2004 Report Posted January 1, 2004 I like to save all of my Smartphone favorites in a folder within my favorites with subfolders: Mobile Favorites Smartphone News Portals Shopping Videos etc. Then periodically, I copy the contents of the entire PC folder over to the Smartphone.
Guest Disco Stu Posted January 1, 2004 Report Posted January 1, 2004 Bingo ! Cheers for the tips guys :)
