Guest equis Posted December 13, 2003 Report Posted December 13, 2003 I was looking at the System Info and it states I have a back-up battery? And it never is at 100% charge always at 90% . What is it like for the flash memory?
Guest alphaflux Posted December 13, 2003 Report Posted December 13, 2003 Rumor has it that the MPx200 doesn't actually have a backup battery. So this is just a bogus value reported by the IA software and can be ignored.
Guest PDAZealot Posted December 15, 2003 Report Posted December 15, 2003 After all, to my understanding, the IPSM is volatile memory, and does not retain settings if all power is removed[try yanking the battery out for a week, come back and see if it has any settings retained]. Thus, there must be some sort of backup battery onboard. I haven't confirmed this, but you can kill the settings and wipe back to a blank slate if you remove the battery for a week. Seems to figure doesn't it?
