Guest cobalt233 Posted December 14, 2003 Report Posted December 14, 2003  when you set the caller id settings under "settingstelephonycaller id" to anyting other than "all callers" (e.g. "My Contacts") the setting will rever back to "all callers" every time you power off the phone. I sure hope this isn't by design!
Guest PDAZealot Posted December 14, 2003 Report Posted December 14, 2003 It's a crappy bug all right. I asked ATTws, and they said it was a fault of Motorola[typical isn't it?] that would be released in the Smartphone 2003 OS update that is due from Motoroa in Feb/March 2004.
Guest Shuflie Posted December 14, 2003 Report Posted December 14, 2003 Is that an official confirmation of a WM2003 upgrade path for the MPx200?
Guest PDAZealot Posted December 15, 2003 Report Posted December 15, 2003 I spoke with Moto Engineering about this, and it was confirmed that they are finishing up the Windows Mobile 2003 Smartphone upgrade for the MPx200. The estimate for release was Feb/March 2004, but it is up to ATTws in the US, and Orange overseas. Even if they don't release it, I feel quite confident that a bootleg upgrade will show up though. :-)
Guest Shuflie Posted December 15, 2003 Report Posted December 15, 2003 Perhaps this should get a mention in the news section if you can get any concrete info from the Moto team.
Guest PDAZealot Posted December 15, 2003 Report Posted December 15, 2003 I will post any news. It has already been reported though in many forums, as well as on Modaco.
Guest IvailoLickosBallos Posted March 30, 2004 Report Posted March 30, 2004 I have an answer to this. Here in Moscow the service provider doesn't provide caller id by default. You have to order it and pay for it. Same goes for 'don't show id', call barring, voicemail, and some other options...
