Guest chuxsta Posted December 14, 2003 Report Posted December 14, 2003 hi..... had my e200 for 4 days now and have found annoying bugs already.. 1st..... when receiving texts messages with a phone number in the actual message it self it will not add it to contacts when selected. the option is there but it dont work... 2nd. when i want to disconnect from gprs it wont. the little "g" stays in the top corner above the signal bar.. i have to turn the phone to flight mode or turn it off..
Guest kevlar Posted December 14, 2003 Report Posted December 14, 2003 Not sure about 1 but 2, to disconnect GPRS press and hold the home key, then you'll get a menu allowing you to turn off gprs. Apparently though, according to Microsoft, it is supposed to stay connected, and won't be costing you anything. Kevlar
Guest ChrisJM Posted December 14, 2003 Report Posted December 14, 2003 The G means that u can use Gprs :!:
Guest midnight Posted December 14, 2003 Report Posted December 14, 2003 chris, not quite, the e200 is supposed to astay connected, while idle it doesnt cost the user anything (no bytes received), and makes it real quick to open a webpage the next time, and calls can still be masde/recieved. but,as already mentioned, you can still disconnect using the menu that appears if you hold the home button
Guest beersoft Posted December 14, 2003 Report Posted December 14, 2003 and the first thing is the caller id looks at the number recived with the text message (which starts +44 for me most of the time) which doesn't match your contacts that start 07 so it doesn't know its the same number, if you use paul's outlook contact reformater it does fix that problem. later Owen
Guest pisquee Posted December 14, 2003 Report Posted December 14, 2003 What about delivery reports for SMS? do they come up without the + symbol and therefore are not recognised by the address book, or has that been sorted? What about having delivery reports set to on as default?
