"press any key to enter bootloader"

This is the message I am getting when switching on the phone (e200. I then get a three colour screen (red,green and blue grded bands) each one with the text

Ensure no buttons are stuck down, remove from any case you are using, (in theory look at the camera/old voice record button, as to get to the screen you are seeing, normally requires you to hold this button (the one with the red dot on it) and the power button down together, when turning on the phone.

Hmm, that record button does feel a little strange, I am wondering whether it is stuck as you suggest. The other buttons have a good tactile 'click' to them, but this one doesn't.)

Can anyone with an e200 tell me whether the record button (with the red dot) 'feels' the same when pressed as the other buttons?

Secondly, if it is indeed stuck, can anyone advise on how I can release it?

(Is it easy to take the case apart - where do I start?)

My record button makes a resounding CLICK when I press it.

I reckon it's stuck on your phone. It's the only button that will cause your phone to enter into the bootloader screen.
