SPV Screen Colour Balance & MP3 Playback

In the last two weeks I have got through three SPV's for reasons a won't bore you all with.

I have just received a replacement SPV today, (updated it to latest firmware and unlocked, installed only smartExplorer and smartTask apps)and have noticed two things:

1) the colour balance on the screen is all wrong - is there anyway to change the screen settings - i.e brightness and RGB?

The appearance is that the overall brightness is too high, coupled with a reduction in green levels - this gives the phones display a kind of washed out, red / orange look which is considerably less appealing than those I've witnessed previously on my SPV.

2) MP3 Playback using media player used to work without hitches - I could leave the SPV play an album and as long as I left the phone alone and didnt try and do anything else with it, it would play the whole album (almost) without hiccups - now the new phone hiccups every 30secs or so, sometimes stopping playback for several seconds meaning that MP3 playback is now choppy and annoying.

Are these down to problem in my replacement phone or was I just lucky with the 3 others I had?

For question 1, nope & 2, not had a problem that i have noticed.

Thanks mate. Orange agreed and have swapped the phone. Now its replacment dial GPRS at random and without provocation and its keys freeze when typing. Seems a little better since 1.6 rom update but still acting oddly. 4th replacment in 2 weeks - all replacements so far have had different faults. Hmmmmm. Orange scraping the bottom of the replacement SPV barrel methinks.. :shock:
