Guest actionj Posted December 14, 2003 Report Posted December 14, 2003 I just got a motorola mpx 200 and I have heard there are problems with caller ID if you store all your numbers in the contacts. I had a tdma phone that didn't have a sim card so I have to add all my numbers to the new phone. Should I add the numbers to the sim card or add them to the contacts? I don't want to have duplicates but I want the caller id to work right but I also want to add more info like emails, address etc and when you add numbers to the sim card, it only has name and number. What should I do?
Guest equis Posted December 22, 2003 Report Posted December 22, 2003 Unfortunately the SIM card is limited to just number and names I believe, I tried makking back up just in case I break my phone. It doubles all your contacts in the menu but I have never had a problem with the Caller ID software with it being doubled I just filter them to use the phone one. So yes it does mess up the Caller ID only to the exten that you need to filter them.
Guest actionj Posted December 22, 2003 Report Posted December 22, 2003 I guess what I am going to do is just add all my numbers to the contacts and then find my top 15 people that call, and I'll copy them over to the sim card too, so the custom ring tones will for sure work
