Guest Niteflyer Posted December 14, 2003 Report Posted December 14, 2003 Has anyone actually got a case for their SPV E200 that actually fits yet? My Krussel case is crap fitting and I'm having to use the pouch that came with my original SPV. I can't believe that there is a phone on the market with NO case for it! There has to be something surely? Thanks
Guest zeta101 Posted December 15, 2003 Report Posted December 15, 2003 i think krussel will make an e200 case, u just have to wait. There was some time before an e100 cases came out too
Guest Vector Posted December 15, 2003 Report Posted December 15, 2003 My krussel case fits OK ! it's a bit tight but it works nicely to protect the screen and phone :D
Guest Niteflyer Posted December 15, 2003 Report Posted December 15, 2003 Thanks for your replies guys! I will wait for an official E200 case, the Krussell is a horrible fit and I just don't like it at all :) Thanks again :D
Guest idoru Posted January 8, 2004 Report Posted January 8, 2004 HI! Just reviving the post as I am interested in knowing if any one has found a decent case for the E200? I am looking for a classic leather pouch - similar to the one that came with the original SPV. Cheers!
Guest schildy Posted January 10, 2004 Report Posted January 10, 2004 Waiting for the Piel Frama case that I ordered from www.coolsmartphoneshop.com. Will let all know how it is when I get it.
Guest schildy Posted January 11, 2004 Report Posted January 11, 2004 The other thing is, with my SPV I used the Nokia 3510 case which worked aa treat, had to make a couple minor adjustments but had no problems with that. It looked after the phone which was the main thing.
Guest idoru Posted January 16, 2004 Report Posted January 16, 2004 Ah well. Couldn't wait! I order my Piel Frama case for the E200. I ordered the E100 case and hopefully it will fit !!! I will let you know the results when I get it.
Guest Disco Stu Posted January 16, 2004 Report Posted January 16, 2004 Surely we need a hole in the back for the camera lens... The E100 didn't have a camera, did it ?
Guest idoru Posted January 16, 2004 Report Posted January 16, 2004 Good point! I thought about that but I don't intend to use the camera while it is in the case. I'll take it out of the case if I want to use the camera. Of course the x-ray feature on the camera won't have any problems while sitting in the case - so no problems there ;-)
Guest schildy Posted January 17, 2004 Report Posted January 17, 2004 Got mine from www.coolsmartphones.com and it works a treat, fit is no problem even tho' the E200 is slightly larger. Understand about the camera hole but, like idoru, I can pull the phone out for the amount of use the camera will get. Case looks good, has storage for 2 extra SD cards, belt clip which can be removed if required (even comes with a little spanner to remove the button from the case). I'm impressed. Maybe a "little" expensive, but hey ho! Any E220 owner that wants to look after their gem should have something to protect it. This would do more than the job.
Guest idoru Posted January 17, 2004 Report Posted January 17, 2004 Excellent stuff! Now I am looking forward to getting mine. Thanks for letting us know how well the case fits
Guest schildy Posted January 17, 2004 Report Posted January 17, 2004 I'll try to post some screen shots in the next day or two
Guest schildy Posted January 21, 2004 Report Posted January 21, 2004 Here are the pic's I promised. Not the greatest, but if you want to see more definition let me know and I will see what I can do. For the record, I am over the moon with this case. LOoks good, and fits a treat.DSC00001_edited.zip
Guest benjaminjames Posted January 22, 2004 Report Posted January 22, 2004 Looks goood... Really wish the vaja case for the SPV 100 would fit. I love that case.
Guest Posted April 20, 2004 Report Posted April 20, 2004 Just received my E200 case ordered from the Piel Frama web site only two days ago for only 50 euros including shipping! http://www.pielframa.com/spv_e200%20qtek_8080.htm I felt I should post about this case because it is the best I have seen for the E200, far better than the Krusell equivalent with the zip (which can damage the phone case) and the awful plastic keypad and screen cover, which can scratch the case, and the joystick hole which allows dust in. I'm not doing Krusell cases down as I have Krusell cases for other devices, but this Piel Frama case is superb. It's well made, the E200 fits tightly inside, and every button is free to use with the phone in the case. There is a slot for the camera/mirror, headphone socket and SD card, plus slots for two spare SD cards. Also the phone can be charged when in the case using the adaptor supplied with the phone. My only criticism id that the soft keys are a little difficult to use with the phone in the case, and that when closed there is a danger that buttons, particularly the joystick, can be inadvertently pressed. However these are very minor complaints, and locking the keypad solves this. Overall I think this a must-have accessory for the E200, and something that actually enhances the aesthetics of the phone. This company deserved to sell shedloads!
Guest yoos Posted April 20, 2004 Report Posted April 20, 2004 I have been happily using the covertec horizontal pouch that I bought for my original SPV with my new Voyager. It fits perfectly! The only problem is.... I don't see the case as available anymore on www.covertec.com ??? :?
Guest schildy Posted April 22, 2004 Report Posted April 22, 2004 They must have upgraded since I got mine, because it has no camera opening. However I agree it is the best ase for the E200. one "complaint" If you put spare SD cards in the holding slots, it can cause the phone to go into various modes if getting the slightest knock. The Krussell is ok, but you gets what you pay for, and lets be fair, the Piel isn't cheap, but it does protect, AND look very good.
Guest PaFF Posted April 22, 2004 Report Posted April 22, 2004 Yoos, The covertec is available at the covertec site but not the trendy Black/Orange scheme. I am using my Krussell SPV case for my E200 and it fit's snuggly.
Guest yoos Posted April 22, 2004 Report Posted April 22, 2004 Strange... I go to www.covertec.com and select USA... None available... I select UK and they do have the cases available...
