Ok I've got the SDK.

Ok I've got the SDK. I try the 'hello world' example and click on ! execute. The emulator launches - downloads some files and even though I am using the loopback adaptor it will not connect to the device.

Please could someone explain, in dummy terms, how to get the emulator working. Thanks :shock:

In eVC, go to Tools->Configure Platform Manager

Select Smartphone 2002 Emulation and hit [Properties...]

Select:

Transport: TCP/IP

Startup Server: Emulator Startup Server

Thanks I have already done that but I have found that if I launch the emulator first and then cancel the execution - wait until the emulator is launched and then execute the code - it works!!!

Thanks for the link 'killer app' on way. yeah, yeah, yeah I know Ive got to learn C code now. All those years with VB, wearing my digits to the calcium, down the drain... :cry:
