Guest The PocketTV Team Posted December 15, 2003 Report Posted December 15, 2003 AttachSmart introduces the first self-replicating Smartphone application! Oh no, don't worry, we are not in the virus business, but nonetheless the concept is interesting, Check it out: AttachSmart is a small Smartphone freeware that you can easiely email from your Smartphone to your Smartphone-enabled friends. And your friends can install it (directly from the email attachment) and if they like it, they can email it again from their Smartphone to others Smartphone-enabled friends, etc, forever. We'll see if the idea works... The BETA version is there: http://www.smartphone.net/software_detail....teid=279&id=332 PS: We had to change the name because SmartAttach is already a trademark of Proxim :D
Guest Will Posted December 15, 2003 Report Posted December 15, 2003 I am guessing, that when you 'infect!' your friends phone a clear warning appears? ie they have to physically have to choose to install the attachment it..? I'm guessing this is how it happens?? Is there any way to track how far this application spreads? as a purely academic theory, to see how effective this method of distribution is? Will
Guest midnight Posted December 15, 2003 Report Posted December 15, 2003 hmmm, i would have thought that smart explorer would have been the first
