Can someone help me with my software unlock problem

I've just hard reset my SPV phone which has the latest software update on it from orange. However, I need to software unlock it now to be able to install games etc on it but the unlocking section on the orange website isn't unlocking my phone???

Can anyone tell me another way of software unlocking the phone?

I've tried to unlock it using the guide on the website below but that didn't work either:

When you unlock it you must be sure that you make a gprs connection otherwise it won't work no

Just make one with opening the orange site on your phone for example

How isn't it unlocking your phone? Is it recognising your IMEI and telling you to download Action Register? Do you just not receive the acknowledgement page? Is it connected to GPRS or on pass through?

You could try the cab file version.

If You ut In Your Orange Sim for only The sim unlocking i Think it will work

But You always have to have a gprs connection to app unlock your spv

You need to be connected either using GPRS or Passthrough.

Because you are using a non Orange SIM you will need to use Passthrough connection.

For the OTA site you need a working Internet connection using either GPRS or the pass through connection.

Check that idle disconnect conenct time is greater than 1 minute .

(it can cause problems if the connection is very slow)

Programs - settings - Data connections - Menu -options

That should be all you need.

Just realised the cab file has gone and I haven't a copy sorry,

Mine unlocked fine with the Sim Unlock, but I did have my orange Sim card in.

If you get to the page saying you'll receive a confirmation soon, try connecting to GPRS and leaving it for a bit. That worked for me, plus you won't use much traffic as long as the webpage your viewing doesn't auto refresh!

I'm afraid it's still not working, despite having the phone in my cradle connected to my computers connection using a passthrough connection.

Any ideas? :s

Re-do the OTA process and leave it for a while???? Browse to a webpage to double check pass through is working

It won't load up any pages, despite the fact that i've put the internet connection settings on my phone to automatic etc to create a connection through my computer.

Hmmm then i Can't think of why it doesn't work why don't you connect normally true the gprs maybe that wil work

Double check,

Programs > Settings > Data Connections

Change the internet connection spinner to Pass through connection.

Open up ActiveSync, options. Tick the check box that says something along the lines of "enable pass through" can't remember as I'm not on my computer.
