Guest kevlar Posted December 16, 2003 Report Posted December 16, 2003 Looks good. Is there a trial version? I ask because I have an E200, and 2 questions need answering before I'll buy any game from now on; 1) Does the game suffer through lack of diagonals on E200? 2) Does the sound work properly on the E200? A trial version would let me find these answers. Kevlar
Guest gameonthego Posted December 16, 2003 Report Posted December 16, 2003 The controls do not suffer from the diagonal problem. The game is fully compatible with MS SmartPhone 2002 and 2003 platforms You use up to thrust and left and right to rotate. Same as asteroids? The keys are redefinable and you can flip the screen depending upon preference The sound works fine - I have an e200 myself !
Guest kevlar Posted December 16, 2003 Report Posted December 16, 2003 That's good news!. A Trial would still be nice, there is a lot of junk out there! ( no offence  ) Kevlar
Guest kevlar Posted December 16, 2003 Report Posted December 16, 2003 gameonthego, please read your pm. Kevlar
Guest kevlar Posted December 16, 2003 Report Posted December 16, 2003 I've just bought this game and it rocks ( sorry about that  ). This is a quality game, if you like asteroids, you'll love this. The effects are really good, and the sound effects really crisp ( that's going some on the E200 I can tell you ). Only downside, there is no music. Can't wait to see their next release, this is their first! Kevlar ps, there seems to be a slight bug, to get sound set sound to ' off '. :D , still no music though!
Guest seaflipper Posted December 16, 2003 Report Posted December 16, 2003 Just bought this game, it is AWESOME. Very cool, very fun. Graphics are great, I love how you can change the orientation on your screen and change the key layout to whatever works best for your hands. Very nice, well done Gamesonthego. Looking forward to more games from you guys soon!

Guest Mike Wagstaff Posted December 16, 2003 Report Posted December 16, 2003 I tried to buy it, but PayPal threw up a TEMPLATE [] LOAD failed error message when I hit the Continue button. Rather annoying because I'm off on holiday tomorrow afternoon, and I'd have liked to take a decent game with me... :D I've emailed Gameonthego, so hopefully this is something that won't affect too many other people!
Guest kevlar Posted December 16, 2003 Report Posted December 16, 2003 I had problems buying this, turned out to be paypal having a backlog or something. It was sorted out in the end. Kevlar

GameOnTheGo I'm using it on my MPx200 and haven't had any problems yet...I have only gotten through about 4 or 5 levels, however, so maybe the problems are later?
Guest gameonthego Posted December 17, 2003 Report Posted December 17, 2003 Thanks for your reply, We have tested it and didnt find any problems. We recieved an email from an MPX200 user who says that there is a flickering of the screen and no sound effects at all? Since we were usnsure of the issue we thought it best to warn mpx200 users. Glad to hear you are not havong problems - if you didnt notice this on the first level than there is no problem. James GameOnTheGo
Guest jimmay Posted December 19, 2003 Report Posted December 19, 2003 MPx200 user here - no problems  Really impressed with this game - graphics are excellent and it's really playable! Looking forward to more gameonthego releases!!

Guest kevlar Posted December 19, 2003 Report Posted December 19, 2003 Explain......everyone else likes it. At least be constructive with your critisism! Kevlar
Guest midnight Posted December 19, 2003 Report Posted December 19, 2003 nikz, at least offer constructive critisism so that the developers know how to improve their games in the future, stating it is sh*t doesnt help anyone (and i have noticed you've said the same about trial challenge)
Guest gameonthego Posted December 19, 2003 Report Posted December 19, 2003 Areyou referring to MPX200 compatability because if you carry on reading you will see there are no problems. What exactly is it that you dont like about it?
Guest seaflipper Posted December 19, 2003 Report Posted December 19, 2003 nikz, at least offer constructive critisism so that the developers know how to improve their games in the future, stating it is sh*t doesnt help anyone (and i have noticed you've said the same about trial challenge) I think he is using American slang for "this game rocks"
Guest mugenakuma Posted December 20, 2003 Report Posted December 20, 2003 This American slang statement should be written as follows, "that game is the sh#$t." rather than "the game is sh$%t". Being an American very familiar with our country's slang I thought I would clear this up. Considering this fact it still has yet to be seen wether this poster's comment was negative or positive. Personally I would love to see some more smartphone game support. I have seen and played some really cool Java and Symbian games, specifically the games from Bandai the Japanese game developer. It would be great to see some Java style games ported to the smartphone platform. I have actually emailed Sega Mobile, Sorrent and a few other cell phone/PDA game developers about making games for the smartphone platform. So far no developers have expressed any plans or real interest in developing for the smartphone, something I find disappointing and surprising.
Guest Gorskar Posted December 20, 2003 Report Posted December 20, 2003 Theres lots of games available (see www.handango.com and www.smartphone.net) on the Smartphone, but the more the better!
Guest mugenakuma Posted December 20, 2003 Report Posted December 20, 2003 I have been to these webpages and a bunch of other smartphone game pages but so far I have yet to find any role playing games, action adventures, good platformers (mario style games), or fighting games. So far I play my nes emulator more than any other game I have.
Guest pisquee Posted December 20, 2003 Report Posted December 20, 2003 nikz - you're a newbie with 2 posts - do you think your opinion really counts for much here?!
