SPV E200 Keyboard & Config

Just got a SPV E200 - new to this Smartphone stuff! 2 questions I'd like to ask:

1) What is the SPV keyboard? The help button doesn't connect to a site - what is it, what does it do?

2) The Smart Phone Configuration wizard on the companion CD - does it work? Every time I try I to "configure" I get a failed message. ActiveSync is fine though.

Anyone else feel that the tech info supplied is woefully inadequate?
