Guest muff Posted December 19, 2003 Report Share Posted December 19, 2003 when we say unpack the pak file we just mean from the .zip and.gz files, so that you get pak0.pak although you can unpack the pak itself, you need to find some old quake unpackers to do that, and the benefit is minimal for most users (useful for coders messing with the gfx / maps / sounds though) once you've got to the 17.8MB pak0.pak, put that on the phone - trust me, the load speeds are useable like this (much slower if you copy the .gz file on instead) Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Guest Skitals Posted December 19, 2003 Report Share Posted December 19, 2003 mind telling me how to do a time demo and how to show fps? :S remove map start from the config (put // in front of the line if you wish) and add timedemo demo1.dem at the bottom.
