HOW TO ERASE T9 LEARNED WORDS

Problem: My MPX200 has learned some useless words. For example: when I want to type "me" the phone gives me "of" then "6e" then "6f" then "me"

Is there any way to erase the 6e and 6f entries? thanks.

My present phone (Samsung) also comes up with 'of' before 'me'. I guess this is because one is more likely to type 'of' in any given text. My old Nokia (urghh) used to let you to add words to it's dictionary. Not sure what you can do with the MPX except what the good folks on this board have already posted. If words can be deleted, someone here is sure to know. I'm getting my MPX200 next week - can't wait.

No, what Sasha is talking about is what has just happened to mine.

After doing a hard reset for another problem, I get strange entries in my T9 texting. Exactly the same as Sasha's in fact, in the same order, and a few other combinations as well.

Anyone got any ideas or had this as well?

Matt.

Just as a follow up in case anyone is having this problem, the only way I mangaged to fix it was by doing another hard reset and not downloading the UK Keyboard update from Orange.

Has anyone really found the T9 text in fact in any phone useful?? I mean I have had it in all my phones tried using it and it ends up spelling all kinds of weird things. I feel like when I am using it like the Simpsons Episode when the notation was put into the Apple PDA "Beat Up Bart" but ends up reading "Eat Up Martha" !!!

If you haven't used it before, it takes a while to get used to seeing the garbled letters that appear as you type.

S

PC

PAR

RARE

RAPED

appear as you type the word 'SCREEN' but bear with it - it saves a lot of key presses in the long run.
