e100 - SIM unlocked (1.6)

It´s probably known, how to do it, but I could not get all the information on one place, so posting my step by step guide, how I did it.

Smartphone (e100/HTC) was shipped with software 1.6. Of coarse, you will loose everything from the phone, so backup data before you will do it.

1) downgrade to older bootloader. I did it using downloaded software spv_13624.exe, what is old enough for this reason. It does not matter, if the old version is for Orange or Eurotel or whoever.

2) boot in canary mode (press and hold audio record button and then power button). Stop Active sync and using task manager on your PC (ctrl-alt-del then processes) kill wcescomm.exe

3) connect the phone in canary mode on the USB. It should detect new device and in the canary screen will appear USB instead of Serial

4) run application SPVUnlock.exe, keep it counting. If it will crash/stop at 66%, you need even older version of the system. If it will read 100%, it will then display 8 digit number. Note it - it´s your unlock code

5) install latest version of the system software, what you want to use. In my case I installed version 1.6 again.

6) after installation it may be very slow. Don´t do anything until it (probably) say that verification is complette. Even when phone looks like boot is done, it do something in the background. Probably it will ask for unlock code during this, but you may not be able to enter anything. Don´t worry - it´s OK. Reboot when it will ask for reboot or it will reboot automatically. Then it will really ask for unlock code, so enter that number you noted. I did it even when inside was my provider´s SIM. Somebody advice to swap the SIM for new provider at that last reboot, before you enter unlock code. Probably it does not matter.

7) That´s it. You can use any SIM cart from this moment.

Hope it will help somebody. It did not worked for me until I realized, that I need to get older bootloader and I had to install really old system (I think I used some danish or orange first, but it was not old enough). Anyway, it´s not complicated process.

Hi.

I have an Eurotel Smartphone with latest ROM 1.50.5.11 and need to donwgrade it to some earlier version to be able to use the SPVunlock.

Can anybody tell me where to download it? Have read that Orange fw. 1.3.5.6 should work but have not found it for download :-(

If anybody knows where to download it just let me knwo, pls.
