memopad-like software

As a recent smartphone convert I am keen to dump my Palm, but I will miss the basic memopad where I can leave short notes to myself without messing about saving and opening files, and with a clear list of my notes. Is there anything similar out there for my phone ?

You could use Notes in Outlook, these appear on the smartphone as SmartPhoneNotes (buy it from handango/smartphone.net) or they are now integrated into Paul's MVP Smart Journal.
