 Hello. How and where can I find the software to create ringtones from MP3s? And how can I use the wav file without storing them directly on my phone (they are always too big)?

My friend created a wav file using his Music Software. but I would like to know what is the best way to do it myself. He uses a Moto MPx200 and just stored the wav file on his card. His phone automatically added it to this sound selection for ringtones.

QUESTIONS:

1. How do I create ringtones from MP3? (I know they should be wav)

2. Where is the best place to find the software to do this? (and make them smaller)

3. How can I use the wav file without storing them directly on my phone

If you could answer these questions too.... It would be great.

4. NEW Settings for T-Zones for T-Mobile in USA.....

5. Instructions and Software to compress/watch movie files.

6. How do I get the Date to show on the Homescreen? Like MoDaCo's USA Theme

1&2 Try this topic in the articles section

3 If you store the WAV files in Storage CardMy Documents they should show up when selecting default ringtones in Settings-Sounds. If you want to use the WAV files as custom ringtones then you will have to edit the registry.

4 NEW settings ?

I assume that this doesn't work for you :?

GPRS CONNECTION:

Description: T-Zones GPRS

Connects to: The Internet

Access Point: wap.voicestream.com

Internet Connection=T-Zones GPRS

In IE make Select Network=The internet

5 There should find plenty of info on MoDaCo search ie

WOW. YOU ARE HARDCORE... THanks...

3. Unfortunately it does not show up in my sounds when dropping them into MyDocs folder. How would I edit the registry (is it easy for a novice like me?). What folders should be on my SD card(I do have a MyDocuments Folder)? I noticed for example: My SD card did not store Photos without the PhotoAlbum Folder on my SD Card that I copied from the factory card. is there anything that could be hidden in the MyDoc Folder?

4. Those settings do not work... nor to any of the settings posted earlier this year. (Yes, I am signed up for T-Zones) on other topic

5. You are the Greatest!

6. Guess I just have to select Homescreen Themes for the date to show up. THANKS

Hi there :)

Yep, you should have a 'My Documents' folder on the SD card and if you have an OS software version 1.5 or above it will allow valid WAV files to be stored from this directory although they can only be applied to the default ringtones found in Settings-Sounds.

If you want the SD WAV's as an option for the custom ringtones then you will need to edit the registry using PHM registry editor which can be found a www.monolthix.org. Alternativly I think a program called SetTones will do this without the need for RegEdit

Errr, not sure about the photo's as I don't use the camera that much

These T-zones settings should work :?

I would try deleting all existing (dial-up, proxy, & GPRS) connections and then re-create only the T-Zones GPRS connection and set The Internet Connection to T-zones GPRS. In IE make sure that Select Network=The internet (+ untick auto detect for good luck). Try and connect to http://www.google.com.

I assume that ALL t-zones plans include internet service but just in case try add a proxy connection and then access wsp://www.google.com/wml

PROXY CONNECTIONS:

Description:T-Zones Proxy

Connects From: The Internet

Connects To: WAP Network

Proxy (name:port): 216.155.165.50

Type: WAP

In Data Connections set 'WAP Connection: T-zones GPRS'

In IE tick 'Auto detect settings'

If it still fails then change the APN to internet2.voicestream.com and internet3.voicestream.com and access http://www.google.com. This is to make sure that T-mobile haven't activated these internet APN's instead. If neither APN will work try testing the SIM in another GPRS phone or you could just contact T-mobile customer services and ask them to re-activate the T-zones GPRS service.

What errors you receive for each APN ?
