ActiveSync woes...

Having got all my PC set up so i finally have enough USB ports to have my cradle in again, i tried to sync my phone.

And i got nada.

Today i've done everything; it's on one of the motherboard's USB ports, downloaded the new software, everything. It tries to sync, and then.... stops.

Please help, as of course i need to sync it to upgrade the software- it's not been updated from being new 3-4 month ago!

A quick update: just got a message telling me it's to do with WinSock? Restarting phone like it asked...

Update 2: still no dice on ActiveSync-ing.

Performed hard reset- no improvement.

Removed and reinstalled ActiveSync- no improvement.

HELP!!!

What phone do you have?

What version of Activsync are you using?

What OS is on your PC?

and finally did you plug the phone into the PC before installing Activsync?

if so have a look at his thread http://smartphone.modaco.com/viewtopic.php?t=142

Another thing to try is to remove all other USB devices from the PC reboot and see what happens.

And finally with the phone connected to the PC in canary screen is

should display USB and not serial.
