BMW Bluetooth Phone Compatability

Hi All,

I have a BMW, with the built in bluetooth. I have a bog standard 6310i working fine - but this is a pretty dated phone now, and doesnt have a great feature set. Does anyone know of any smart phones (Qtek 8080, SPVE200 etc.) that will work with this car kit?

I belive (according to BMW) that any phone that supports the "Bluetooth Handsfree Profile" as opposed to the standard "Headset Profile" will work, but this information is very hard to get out of either phone makers or the operators.

Any help would be very much appreciated.

It doesn't work.

The phone will bond but the car kit doesn't recognise the phone.

I thought I almost had it working once, but the car kit just tried to bond again and then after entering the pin code it came up with a failed message.

I'm hoping for more luck after the software update next year which has been mentioned
