Hey i dunno if you guys have seen this program

www.mobiclip.com its out for SP2002, SP2003

the sample clip is very smooth. But it is not a flash player. You have to install a converter on the pc to convert swf to mo. But the converter cannot be installed on window me edition. I have not tried it yet.

ive just tried this on my e100...now i dont want to get too excited but this is how i understand it...you can convert flash files (or music or video) into mobiclip mo files, and play them on your phone...i figured the flash conversion would be limited but the d/l you get provides some games(!) that have be made in flash and converted to mo...

the games are in japanese or something, so i think they were just some existing freeware games, you use to play them. There was a boxy pocket type game (60kb in size) for example.

Im not sure if there are any limitations in this, ie not all flash things can be converted, im gonna go post on thier forum to find out.

i cant get it to work with any .swf files yet, and only 1 movie, wait till it aint a beta, its reallly bad just now

i think the issue might be the sound in the swfs...but this program has massive potential, we need enough people to help beta test the SP platform of this prog and not just ignore it :)

yep, we do, but realistically, the authors should have ironed out the stupid bugs before releasing it, the definition of a beta is a program which has ALL features, just not quite perfect, this is not perfect, but it also is missing a lot of features (the bitrate and frequency problems, and the lack of sound when converting .swf's to .mo's)

"not just ignore it" - i never hinted that we should, it is a good idea for a program, but the reality of it sucks, only working with movies using special codecs, no mpeg support, get real. its far off being a decent product imo.

It really works with any codecs, for example I converted DIVX file using Virtual DUB to MO format, just carefully reading manual for Mobiclip converter.

This is potentially just what we're looking for to use until (or even instead of) a flash player comes along for the spv. I've had no luck converting any .swf files yet but maybe if anyone does they could post them here?

No luck here either, its a shame as I got quite excited after reading the sales blurb :)

err, guys, this is really for making your own mobies (ie, convert .fla and export from flash so you can set the formats etc., it explains all this in the help file) and another thing, if you wish to spread the .mo movie, you have to buy a developers licence from mobiclip

as a side note, i've successfully converted several .fla files and they work perfectly :)
