Guest jprca Posted December 21, 2003 Report Posted December 21, 2003 When I remove all SMS messages via the Inbox Show Folders Menu key "Delete SMS Messages" the Home Screen's SMS count does not go down. Has anyone else experienced this? Any ideas how to make the count return back to (0) Thank you in advance!
Guest PDAZealot Posted December 21, 2003 Report Posted December 21, 2003 You are experiencing the joy of another MS bug. Poor programming indeed. This has been reported many many times. Essentially, it's a problem with the xml plugin that records deletion records. A hard reset is the only way of resolving this. FYI, to avoid it in the future, please read all messages, THEN delete them after reading. Don't worry the Smartphone 2003 upgrade will be out in a few months, so you can just wait till then.
Guest zanary Posted December 21, 2003 Report Posted December 21, 2003 EDIT awarner no need to post off site when the solution is in the Articles section, just click on Phantom SMS to take you to the detailed instructions. Hard Reset is not needed to return the SMS count back to zero.
