I cant find an accurate speed test site. I keep getting like 5-20kbps. I know its much much better then this cause as I type im listening to a 128kbs WMA stream and browsing in pocket ie w/o any buffering.

gotta love 1xrtt. curious... can you play a 128kbs stream on gprs w/o buffering? On my i600 it buffers for about 5 secs when you open, and its good to go forever. I love it. Im gonna set up some kind of streaming server and mobile site so i can listen to my entire mp3 collection anywhere i go :)

In my initial test I am getting some buffering. Keep in mind however that WMP SUCKS at streaming files. WMP could be the bottle neck for this working. I remember w/ my ipaq 5455 I could not stream an mp3 over wifi in wmp, but it worked like a dream in Pocket MVP.

Try out the wma stream I'm talking about: http://shoutcast.javic.com/

I also had a really bad signal when I tried, im going to work where i have better service and will try there and post my results.

Peace!

56k works good with a better signal. its choppy, but doesnt buffer (this is wmps fault). sound doesnt break at all. Posted from my SmartPhone!

That seems a little more on par with what i am experiencing. With 2 bars Im getting about 160kbps. When I do it while playing the 128kbs wma stream in the background I get about 50 kbps.
