Guest Gibbon Posted December 21, 2003 Report Posted December 21, 2003 I was trying to unlock the network on an original SPV, at first it wouldnt doit and the bootloader was v0.97 so i updated it a few times and it said v1.10 in the canary screen and if u went into where you can erase ISPM it said at the top v0.97. So after reading all these confusing posts on here about unlocking i decided to try the uk update from the monolithix website (1.35) which i thought would take it back from v1.10 to v0.98 but instead it got halfway updated, said there was an error and told me to take the bat off for 30 secs and then try again but now all i get everytime i try to turn the fone on is the bootloader? Please help Many Regards Andy G

Guest Vector Posted December 21, 2003 Report Posted December 21, 2003 hmm, try pulling the battery out for 30 secs and starting up again....
Guest awarner [MVP] Posted December 21, 2003 Report Posted December 21, 2003 It can take a while to boot the first time after an update (if the IPSM has been wiped) You say you have an SPV but the E100 has the problem you mention with the 1.3.5 update as it is not compatable with the E100. Things to try after you have left the phone for quite a while are 1, power off the phone and remove the battery, then reboot. 2, Try a Hard reset 3, Run one of the newer updates.
Guest Gibbon Posted December 21, 2003 Report Posted December 21, 2003 Ok, well, ive done all 3, well, im booting up the NEW update now! See how that goes. Ill let you know asap! Thnx guys! Regards Gib
Guest Gibbon Posted December 21, 2003 Report Posted December 21, 2003 Ok, well, I think thats done it! Its past the Sunset screen and now on the SP2002 screen! So, cheers guys! I just hope the unlock code i recieved earlier works! Regards Gib
Guest Vector Posted December 21, 2003 Report Posted December 21, 2003 It always takes a bit longer to startup after installing an update :)
