Guest NastyNick Posted December 21, 2003 Report Posted December 21, 2003 Hiya guys! I'm sure this question has already been asked several times, i did a quick search but couldn't find anything... Anyone else's MSN messenger working on their spv? I heard that microsoft were updating it to some degree and that there would be an update of some description available on november 15th? Any help would be appriciated :) Nick p.s. I'm using a E100 with standard ROM etc. if that makes any difference?

Guest Vector Posted December 21, 2003 Report Posted December 21, 2003 Welcome to the Site ! :) There is a new 1.6 update for the SPV/E100 whch came out a couple of weeks ago  http://www.orange.com/English/productsands...0032.asp?bhcp=1 Just download the update from the Site above :D
Guest MECX Posted December 21, 2003 Report Posted December 21, 2003 You would think orange would notify there customers of the update. Text message---or wow maybe put one of there annoying MMS adverts to some use. :)
Guest NastyNick Posted December 23, 2003 Report Posted December 23, 2003 Cheers for ur help guys! I had realised about this update just after i posted the question when i looked at my orange homepage for the first time in months! i agree, why haven't orange notified us of this update... they text me every now and again telling me to use wap, which has no relevance to me, yet they wont inform me of an issue (msn not working) that is several months old Nick
Guest schizophonic Posted December 24, 2003 Report Posted December 24, 2003 umm is this for e100 or for the e200 as well? This is what i can find from settings>about. Rom update version 1.1.1.4 Manufacture 1.6.0.0 M$ 4.20.13288.0 Lang 4.6.0.0 File system 4.20.13288.0
Guest Brody Posted December 24, 2003 Report Posted December 24, 2003 Its for the e100 as the e200 does not require the update.
Guest orangeoli Posted December 27, 2003 Report Posted December 27, 2003 Is anyone else having problems logging into MSN Messenger? I have an SPV E200 running Smartphone 2003 Version 4.20.0 (build 13288) Error message "Sign-in to MSN Messenger service Failed. Verify that you have entred a valid sign-in name and correct parrword and try again. If the problem continues, contact MSN" I am using the same user name and password as i do on my PC. Which I have verified over and over Can anyone help?
Guest kingdom master Posted December 27, 2003 Report Posted December 27, 2003 if ur in the uk, there were problems recently since xmas eve with gprs. its been sorted now, also check ur i.p and port addresses.
Guest SuperCharger Posted December 31, 2003 Report Posted December 31, 2003 will this update work for the mio mitak 8380 too?
Guest indorock Posted December 31, 2003 Report Posted December 31, 2003 ummm this is all fine and dandy, albeit late...but now they still have to satisfy their Dutch SPV owners (eg. me), and orange.nl STILL says "update coming soon"!! Anyone have an ETA? Or is it possible to just use the UK update?
Guest peekie Posted January 5, 2004 Report Posted January 5, 2004 the orange nl update is due in the next few days if the klantenservice are to be believed. i have the uk update on my spv which works ok apart from having to fill in the correct gprs /share details, you can upgrade to the new dutch version when it arrives as it has a higher version number 1.63 :)
Guest wirefree90 Posted January 5, 2004 Report Posted January 5, 2004 will this update work for the mio mitak 8380 too? No, this an update for HTC based Smartphones e.g. SPV, SPVe100
Guest humz Posted January 10, 2004 Report Posted January 10, 2004 If I install this patch, am I going to have to reinstall all my programs and re-enter all my O2 GPRS settings? And will I have to de-certify my phone again? I'm worried that I wont be able to decert again over the air now that I'm on O2. Is there any easy way of backing up everything including settings?
Guest peekie Posted January 10, 2004 Report Posted January 10, 2004 the dutch update is now to download from my popsting in the main se4ction or by the app section
