Back key closes applications? Home keeps them in memory?

As i heard in the posts that Back key would exit an application whereas Home key will keep that app in memory.

Anyone can confirm that? Does it work with all apps?

Generally that is true. However an app that isn't closed (ie you did home key) is closed automatically by the OS if it is idle for some length of time and you are on the home screen.

Something like that anyway...
