Guest AFCChris Posted December 22, 2003 Report Posted December 22, 2003 I hope someone can help. I have been trying to load games on my SPVE100 which are .EXE files and are zipped up, for example SPV Invaders. Some instructions on this and other sites say that you need to copy the file to a storage card on your phone and then create a short cut to the EXE and move it into the IPSMWindowsStart MenuGames folder, but I haven't got a storage card so does this mean I can just move it to somewhere else on the phone or does it have to be copied to a storage card? Anyway, I tried copying some files it to another folder on the phone and doing the rest of the install procedure but when I try to run the games they either mention about the certificates, which I know is to do with the unlocking of the phone, or it says "Not a valid Windows CE Application". I can't seem to get any games running. Does anyone have any tips or some other web pages with more information about this? Cheers
Guest HurricaneDave Posted December 22, 2003 Report Posted December 22, 2003 to fix the problem with certificates visit this link http://developer.orangews.com/orgspv/comdef.aspx if when you run an .exe file it says not a valid windows CE application then that just means that the exe file is not made for your smartphone..but if it IS for a smartphone then try running the exe file from your pc while the phone is in the cradle... as for the shortcut problem..as you dont have an sd card then you have to put the exe files in your phone memory EG: create a folder called games and put it in IPSM then put your game files in ipsm/games for example..ipsm/games/spvinvaders.exe then your shortcut would need to contain the follwing information. 39#"IPSMgamesspvinvaders.exe" then rename your shortcut to spv invaders and put it in IPSMWindowsStart MenuGames
