Guest Mrskiprat Posted December 22, 2003 Report Posted December 22, 2003 Hia all. Does anyone know how you easily swap the icons across the top of your homepage on the MPx200 for something nonstandard... eg a game of app? Cheers Skip
Guest mzh-arizona Posted January 5, 2004 Report Posted January 5, 2004 Please check pages 1 and 7 here on MoDaCo under Customizations, I think. In page 1 Midnight describes the process. Dunno if you have an AT&T MPx200, but.. On page 7 I address AT&T's MRU plugin (which is accessed via a different registry key). Hope that helps. Ron.
Guest statscat Posted January 5, 2004 Report Posted January 5, 2004 On the Orange default homescreen there is the top fixed application launching bar that is made up of the orange shortcut plugin. There is also another plugin called the MRU, this is not fixed in that the applications alter, instead the icons alter depending on which applications are the most recently used. The MRU loads with the defaults that are mentioned in the registry in the thread quoted above. If you click the homescreen keyword the 2002 orange shortcut is described so you can look there for detailed information, however in general you alter the action="" attribute to point at either a different .LNK (capitalised for clarity) file or an .exe. The orange shortcut will then attempt to load the icon for the specified application or executable, if it cannot find an icon or if it cannot find an icon of appropriate size then it will display an orange "?" icon. It is also possible to configure the orange shortcut to load icons from other dlls or exe files but the icon resource number needs to be either known or guessed. For a description of how to load your own icons look here. "DrBlow Cobalt e200 theme with CUSTOMISED ICONS!!" bare in mind you need to follow the instruction for the orange shortcut 02 as the 03 plugin has the new sendkeys functionality.
