Guest Rusty Posted December 22, 2003 Report Posted December 22, 2003 Could anybody who went on the above promotion (a lot of you i guess :)) remember being told that once the promo was over, you'd be automatically moved onto a GPRS bundle? I was told that, i also received a text saying the same thing, but Orange didn't put me on any bundle or GPRS package at all, now i have a £75 bill for 7.5mb of GPRS!!!! They're supposed to be phoning me back today about it, but tbh this is the final straw for me with Orange, i think i'll be heading for pastures new after about 7yrs with them :? Anybody got any good suggestions for a new provider, preferably with cheapest gprs :D
Guest morpheus2702 Posted December 22, 2003 Report Posted December 22, 2003 Same thing happened to me mate - £40 bill for 4Mb of data. OCS lady said to be fair, they would split the difference with me so only £20 out of pocket. My advice to all SPV owners on an Orange World Tariff is CHANGE IT NOW!!! I'm back to the all inclusive 3Mb deal ASAP!

Guest ferret Posted December 23, 2003 Report Posted December 23, 2003 Mr Orange confimed for us that Orange World was full internet access - didn't he? My Orange World 5 access is for full internet. Made tech support promise me and put a note on my account. However, O did put me on the expenive GPRS even though I was told by OCS and confirmed by SMS that I'd be put on the £4/month bundle automatically. Luckily I noticed before I exceeded my allowance and told them to rectify it otherwise I wouldn't be paying my bill. They did  I can't see how they can say something, do something else without your consent and charge you for it.
Guest morpheus2702 Posted December 23, 2003 Report Posted December 23, 2003 Well after another lengthy conversation with OCS, it transpires that the original f***wit I spoke to never actually applied the Orange World Tariff to my account at all. Hence I have been using data with absolutely no provision for data on my account at all - hence £10 per 1Mb!!! I have got Orange to credit me the full amount (£40) for this. According to OCS, Orange World is not WAP only. So further to my earlier warning: Check what tariff you are actually on!
