Guest fred_s Posted December 22, 2003 Report Posted December 22, 2003 having read the recent posts on how to double your E200 battery life - I was wondering if the same applys to the on-board memory? i.e. has anyone checked to see if 20Mb's of AVI's saved onto the phone drain the battery faster than 0Mb? Just a thought but if my understandings correct, RAM being volatile needs constant power and maybe Orange or MS could shut down portions of this to spare us from flat lining when it's not used e.g. its empty and the phones locked :?: fishing perhaps, but every little helps....
Guest meatgrinder Posted December 23, 2003 Report Posted December 23, 2003 RAM needs constant power because it is volatile, regardless of the data staored, every section of hte RAM is refreshed whether or not it has anything in it. it cant just turn off memory to save a TINY amount of battery power. sorry Dave
