what about if when ur phone got a message u get the hourly chime of a casio watch, who'd know (unless looking at watch) that u have a message would someone have u skill requried 2 make such a tone?

good idea. but surely you'd have to ask your mates only to text you on the hour :)

I thought "stealth" was the point of the vibrate option? Unless they are in your personal bubble no one should know :)

Well, I was thinking about recording the next time I was about to sneeze or cough loudly, but it always takes longer to get the phone recording than I can hold myself...

Anyways, a normal human sound is a lot easier to tolerate than any ring tones (in theory), try it out...
