Hi.... just got my mpx not too long ago, and im a lil freaked out right now. Has anyone encountered before a problem where the numeric keys doesnt work? My phone was running fine for days but this morning, when i woke up...i noticed the keys 4, 5, 8 and 9 doesnt work. Ive tried turning it on/off, removing the batteries and sim card, then putting them back and switching it on again..doesnt work either. Ive tried using another sim card(another network), same thing... 4,5,8,9 just wouldnt work anywhere. Its like the keys are somewhat disconnected from the phone and not recognizing it or somethin.

Anyone came across this before? Could really use some help/advice...

only problem I've had with the keyboard is jumping to the next character but I put that down to my clumsy sausage fingers. Take the phone back for a replacement (might be a good idea to take off any uncertified software and 'lock' it again first)

Try a Hard Reset first.

well i got fedup and knocked it lightly on the desk or something and it worked miraculously again... thought of a hard reset but i dont dare..afraid it might screw up the phone as ive heard in some people..well i'll see if the problem returns..if it does, i'll prolly send it back to motorola or somethin

a Hard Reset cannot screw up the phone, normally it's down to dodgy downloads or user error :)
