Guest dbcohen Posted December 25, 2003 Report Posted December 25, 2003 I left my MPX200 on last night. On opening it this mornig, I expected to see the All Day Appointment "Christmas Day" i'd put into the Calendar. But it wasn't there. Switching to Calendar and back did nothing. I added a spoof appointment to the Calendar, and that appeared straight away, along with the Christmas Day one. What is going on? I am running the standard Full Layout homescreen, with a background and colour scheme defined by MS Theme Generator.
Guest statscat Posted December 25, 2003 Report Posted December 25, 2003 there is it would seem an issue with the DATA_CHANGE message, its seems that the plugin is not aware that the data is changed and so doesn't repaint itself. I think the all day appointments plugin relies on the calendars DATA_CHANGE (rather than having one of its own)
Guest Will Posted December 25, 2003 Report Posted December 25, 2003 This seems to be a general OS bug, reported in the 2002 and 2003 versions... c'mon MS, fix it! Will
Guest dbcohen Posted December 28, 2003 Report Posted December 28, 2003 Well, it's not all smartphones, as my SPV is fine. Seems to be Motorola specific. The work around is to turn the phone off at night!

Guest Will Posted December 30, 2003 Report Posted December 30, 2003 the 'Issue' is that if you don't turn off your phone, the appointments do not change as the should etc. Will
Guest dbcohen Posted December 30, 2003 Report Posted December 30, 2003 Exactly. As I said, I have run a test with my original SPV, and that changes the appointments overnight just fine. I've tried it with a different skin, and it is still the same. The odd thing is if you scroll to the home screen day entry, and click, you get to the correct day in the calendar. I can only guess that the ROM tweaks introduced by Motorola on the MPX200 have introduced this bug. I will email their support people, and also Orange. I guess the only other possibility is a problem with the app unlocking I have applied to the phone.
Guest equis Posted December 30, 2003 Report Posted December 30, 2003 Let us know what Moto and Orange tell you I had this happen once, I have the ATT Moto. I hope this does not happen frequently because I almost forgot my appointment. I was relying too much on the phone to beep to remined me.
