Hi!

Does anyone has any idea why all movie files are skipping during playing with media player and other pocket tv stuff?? Mabye cpu is not fast enought, or is it a fault of os version??

Having SPV(cpu AMR 720), 256 SD, bot ver. 0.98. os 1.3.5.6

make sure you close all running programs before playing the movies by using Task Manager, this can make them a bit smoother :D

and i recommend using Pocket MVP instead :)

If you are playing from memory card, they type of card can make a BIG difference. I have a 256 SanDisk and my mate got some kind of 512 that I'd never heard of. When I gave him video's, they always played jerky and when I put his card in my SPV they played jerky.

Thnx guys for respond!

The thing is that after a hard struggle finnaly sim-unlocked my spv and had to downgrade the software. Dont know if after upgrading the phone would be locked again!! And if so, how to backup all programs, messages before upgrading os?? dont want to loose all data...

SD card is a standard so why should there be a difference??

There is no SD speed standard. Not all sd cards are the same. Now, first of all, dont use WMP or pocket tv. tv. Use PocketMVP. It is even better for mpeg. Encode movies yourself. Movies encoded for pocket pc ARE NOT optimized for smartphone. Encoding is super easy. Just need the right resolution, bit rate, and rotate the video when you encode! Rotating in software uses precious cpu cycles. You will be happy with the results if you do it yourself, the right way! Posted from my SmartPhone!

BTW, while Pocket MVP plays a number of formats, I recommend Divx, which is what Pocket MVP was originally written for. Posted from my SmartPhone!

Another guide is available in the FAQ. That gives full details of all the steps required to get a movie playing perfectly on the SPV. An interesting side note is that VirtualDub can open DAT (VCD) files directly, no need to convert them to MPG's.
