Duplicated effort this year, starting small and working up:

My wife got her brother the same card as he got their Dad.

My wife and her brother both got their Dad the same type of gloves.

I got my wife a pair of earrings exactly the same as some she has had for years, apparently.

Both sets of parents got us a dvd player.
