Guest boutros Posted December 17, 2002 Report Posted December 17, 2002 Question... When I send/receive emails... the emails that I have deleted on the phone get deleted from my email account. Is there any way to prevent this? So that the emails aren't on the phone, but remain in my inbox online... I guess if it doesn't delete them, then it will download them everytime I check. p
Guest elementalist Posted December 18, 2002 Report Posted December 18, 2002 Remove the mails from the Deleted box on your SPV or it will assume you wish them deleted on your PC when you sync. SPV defo needs better mail/message handling...
Guest Shuflie Posted December 18, 2002 Report Posted December 18, 2002 If I recall correctly from discussions on the microsoft smartphone newsgroup, POP3 mail will be deleted on the server if you delete on your phone even if you do empty the deleted items folder before checking mail again. Emptying the deleted items folder only works if you sync with the inbox on your computer.
Guest boutros Posted December 18, 2002 Report Posted December 18, 2002 Aye that's what it does. Shuflie is right... is there anyway to stop it deleting it when using pop3?
Guest Bazz Posted December 18, 2002 Report Posted December 18, 2002 Does it still do this if you are not connected to GPRS? Or does it activate a connection real quick.... Don't suppose you really want to stop it deleting anyway. If you do another sync then they will just come back.
Guest chewie Posted December 18, 2002 Report Posted December 18, 2002 I desperatley want a "leave the message on the server" option as i dont want to synchro my SPV and outlook but i do want to be able to get my email from my PC AND my smartphone!
