Guest DOOManiac Posted December 26, 2003 Report Posted December 26, 2003 My friend became extremely jealous when I got my MPx200, so he went out and bought one too. So I was wondering, are there any multiplayer games out there that use the built-in IR port to send/recieve data from phone to phone? Perferably a Multiplayer Tetris would rock, but really any games at all would be nice to know about. Thanks!
Guest meatgrinder Posted December 26, 2003 Report Posted December 26, 2003 i havnt heard of any yet :) (altho ther may be some) Dave
Guest NederSoren Posted December 27, 2003 Report Posted December 27, 2003 Nah.. im sorry, there's not anything out there. I'm afraid the problem is that the built in IR ports transfer to slow, to actually make something playable, unless it is turnbased, but i might be wrong? Another thing is, that no developers dont really boughter, as many people dont really knoe anyone else with a smartphone :) /NederSoren
Guest pisquee Posted December 28, 2003 Report Posted December 28, 2003 What I thought would have been cool after Snake came out for Smartphone, was to have Nokia snake copied across and have that playable over IR (with other Smartphones and Nokias) If IR based games is too hard for Smartphone based devices, what about Bluetooth?
Guest ZeroK66 Posted January 3, 2004 Report Posted January 3, 2004 Anything BT multiplayer developed for the E200 yet? BT has to be quick enough?
Guest NederSoren Posted January 3, 2004 Report Posted January 3, 2004 not yet.. but the E200 is still a pretty 'young' device, and as you might know, games take a lot of time to develop, so you will might find something sooner or later :)
