Guest kingdom master Posted December 27, 2003 Report Posted December 27, 2003 hey all, the e200 plays the snes emul alot better and at a faster speed. so can somoene please try and clean up the code. it would certainly open up the game scene for smartphone. i know for sure we can get it running at a playable rate. cause morphgear has already begun work on one. but we have one available already if somoene would help clean it up regards tom
Guest londonlad Posted January 6, 2004 Report Posted January 6, 2004 listen, original stuff will take time, you wanna attract more ppl to the spv, improve the snes emulator!!! we are still fightin nokia, lets teach em a lesson in gaming!!
Guest muff Posted January 6, 2004 Report Posted January 6, 2004 listen, original stuff will take time, you wanna attract more ppl to the spv, improve the snes emulator!!! we are still fightin nokia, lets teach em a lesson in gaming!! the emu's are pretty quick - the tidying of code is just that, tidying - no speed to be gained, just neater code as for teaching Nokia a lesson, well Midnight and I have another way of doing that :)
Guest kingdom master Posted January 6, 2004 Report Posted January 6, 2004 u can edit emulators to gain alittle speed. or write the emulator to the rom itself but that takes time and isnt easy. but if cleared up we would get some extra speed out of the emulator but not much.
Guest spacecowboy6982 Posted January 11, 2004 Report Posted January 11, 2004 Yeh - this has bee ndiscussed since the early days of discovering Gnuboy. Dont even ask about GBA lol :) I read a thread on here and a member said they had a GBA emu working full speed, even though I remember SpaceMonkey saying in testing he could only get 3 fps :? spacecowboy
Guest phonesmarts Posted January 11, 2004 Report Posted January 11, 2004 i would think a gba is possible in the FAR future, but lets just stick to snes. on word of emus, i hope we will still continue refining them to get to the speeds of the consoles they are emulating, but we should try to focus on the potential of GREAT games for the smartphone. I mean, Quake is in the works and runs fine...that opens a lot up for games on a smartphone thats not emulation.
Guest midnight Posted January 12, 2004 Report Posted January 12, 2004 thats still a port of existing code though, and really doesnt run well as a game (no way would i buy a game that ran that slow), games coded specifically for the phone are still the best way to go in my opinion, and will bring the most impressive and certainly most playable games :)
Guest goinnuts Posted January 12, 2004 Report Posted January 12, 2004 true, true but if some one did a sega emu and managed to speed up the snes emu, then we would shut up  and we'd all be happy (i know you must know be board of typing a sim message everytime someone mentions emu or port) :) btw any chance of a time around when your fighting game will be released, as this would also shut us up for quite a while :D
Guest midnight Posted January 12, 2004 Report Posted January 12, 2004 as some of you will know, we're working on another game first (due out feb i hope) and so kumite has been put on hold for several reasons until end march/early april at a guess
