Guest TheEcSpec Posted December 28, 2003 Report Posted December 28, 2003 After resorting to a hard reset after just 8 days, i restarted my phone to find the 'Camera', 'Space Maker' and 'File Manager' have gone! Task manager has, but SP Task Manager is on now. Also, there is not the option to compose an MMS, and pressing new in the Inbox goes straight to starting a new E-mail or SMS, and the Home screen reads: E-mail (0) MMS () SMS(0). Not even recognising that i have none, where as before there was a 0 in the brackets. ANi ideas where i can restore them from etc??? Regards TheEcSpec
Guest Bonzo Posted December 28, 2003 Report Posted December 28, 2003 Yep this is true after a reset these programs do disappear as they are not in the ROM on the phone... but all is not lost they are all on the CD ROM supplied with the phone so U can re-install them from there :)
Guest equis Posted December 30, 2003 Report Posted December 30, 2003 What is the diffrence between MMS and SMS? Does the ATT network support both and if so what is the advantage? I know I get charged for sending out SMS text using MMS different?

MMS is a MultiMedia Message where you can send photos, sounds, and multi page animations as well as text. MMS is not that big here is the US and truthfully, I dont see the big whoop about it anyway. Although, with the advent of camera phones, the ability to send photos is a bit more of an attraction. With a smartphone, you can just email the pic, so what's the difference. Plus, all your friends need to be on the same network for it to work I believe and all with phones with MMS capabilities. Not sure why ATT did not include an MMS application as they do support MMS messaging.
