Screen Probs

Hi, has anyone had any probs with their screen on their E200? I have had mine just over a week now and at the bottom of the screen on the Start / Contacts bar I have two faint yellowy/brown patches (looks like scorch marks on the actual screen), they can be seen more clearly if you go onto a menu with a white background. Has anyone else noticed this on their E200 or is it just mine? Also, what could be the cause of this? I will take it back to my nearest Orange shop when I have time because im sure this shouldnt happen to a phone which is this new! Im gonna install the torch screen thing to see if they can be seen more clearly. :roll:

Are you keeping the phone in a coolcold place? the screen can appear

to discolour in cold temperatures.

my e100 does this aswell,,its nothing to worry about and any replacement phone they give you will do the same

oh and awarner just out of curiosity does this affect the mpx200 aswell?

I noticed this about a week ago on the MPX when we has freezing weather, the phone was in my pocket but the cold wind must still have cooled sufficently. I noticed this at the top of the screen on the MPX though.

This is not a fault with the phone and should not be considered as one.

My E100 and E200 also do this...does anyone know what could cause this ?

it can't be the cold as it does it in summer to :)

It's to do with temperature changes reacting with the stresses on the polerising screen of the display.

It's only a temporary thing, normally goes if you leave the phone in a

warm room.

My room is always warm tho, and I havent taken it anywhere cold. Also, is it normal to get a very thin horisontal white strip at the very bottom of the screen on some apps and I always get it when I turn the phone OFF on the picture of the lake (with the hills reflecting in it) with the Orange logo at the bottom but only when I turn the it OFF.

You should have seen the patches on my SPV after I stepped out the airport in Moscow, went from comfortable temperature in the building to -15C outside, the whole screen was coloured.

Do you get the the thin white line thing on the Orange shutdown screen?

At the bottom of the screen ?, yeh

and my E200 screen always has those tinges at the bottom, just less visible in different light....
