Unable to remove mp3 from my documents...

This is my first post!

Basically, ive transfered an mp3 from my pc to my SPV e200. It plays great from media player, but when i try to delete the file the phone tells me its unable to do so because the file may be in use by another program. Ive read about renaming the file but i havent tried that yet, im just wondering if someone can explain why this has happened and how to resolve it?

have you turned the phone off and then back on and then tried to delete it ?

as media player may still be running....

Due to some programs might still be running (sama as PC windows) you are not able to delete sharing files. Try to use SP Task manager - no need to switch off the phone :))

Thanks for the help gentlemen! I managed to delete it eventually by exploring the phone through activesync, locating the file and removing it via windows. :)

read only files can not be deleted in smart explorer so remove the readonly property.

Also as Davidrm posted, any files in resident memory cannot be deleted until you have rebooted the phone.
