Hello to all potential helpers....

I'm a new e200 owner, and keen to get into the customising side of the smartphone fun.

I've rtfm and a number of topics on customization. The current wee problem i'm experiencing in installing a new homescreen....in short, "it dont werk"!

I've d/l'd midnights rather cool looking reload2 and have put the files into apps/home thro activesync and cannot get an option to select thro start/4/4/homescreen?!?!? I've tried other homescreens with the same results.

I have searched for like topics across the forum but with little success in finding an answer i can understand! :)

Any and all help welcome.

Sounds like you are unzipping the cab files :)

When you download homescreens from this site they are normally in .cab format they can also be in .hme format as well.

Just place the cab file in IPSMWindowsStart MenuAccessories then

on the phone go to ProgramsAccessories and the homescreen will be there ready for you to install.

Ah!! Many thanks awarner you were quite correct :D

I've now got a msg telling me i have inadequate permissions to which i will now search the forums for :)

what you also need to do is to decert (application unlock) your phone.

To do this click on OTA for instructions and a link to the Orange Developers site.

Ignore any message on the site saying you cannot unlock the E200, as

most E200's can now be decerted this way.

For any who are interested the unlock option did work on the spv e200 :)
