I just purchased this software for my Samsung i600. Here's my opinion on the software:

PROS:

Excellent method for text input on a smartphone. It would be a killer app if the CONS weren't so severe.

CONS:

SLOW. When inactive but running in the background the responsiveness of my Smartphone was cut drastically. I'm not sure if it's just bogging down on keypresses trying to capture the # key (which is used to active the program). It's so slow it even slows itself during input. I'd say there's about a whole second delay per keypress while the program is running (active or not). I tried killing all other processes running except KeyTouch and the homescreen still had a 1 second delay per keypress.

It runs 3 individual processes in the background to operate.

I personally do not recommend this product unless you do extensive keyboard entry where you don't mind waiting for the text you entered to catch up and when it's worth the effort to load KeyTouch before the program where you want to do input, then immediately unload KeyTouch after you are done.

This is my personal opinion on the KeyTouch Keyboard software and the problems may just be specific to my model of phone, etc, etc.

Hope this helps,

Robert

Just received mail from KeyTouch and they have not had any other reports of the slow behavior. They were very helpful and it may just be my phone causing the problem. Who knows, I've installed quite a few apps on this thing. I'd have to test on a reset phone to know for sure. In the end they refunded my money and I'm happy.

I recommend you give their utility a try. It's a cool utility that I wish worked on my phone.
