Guest midnight Posted December 30, 2003 Report Posted December 30, 2003 The old SPV Speedboost returns, this time compatible with the E200 (and all other MS Smartphones) *Please Reboot After Installationspeedboost.zip
Guest Vector Posted December 31, 2003 Report Posted December 31, 2003 Does this just generally speed up the phone ? :)
Guest midnight Posted December 31, 2003 Report Posted December 31, 2003 in theory yes, but never been tested on the e200, so in truth, i have no idea, but worth a try at least :)
Guest pride Posted December 31, 2003 Report Posted December 31, 2003 Sorry Midnight but my E200 says "Installation failed. The program or setting cannot be installed because it does not have adequate system permissions." Am I doing something wrong as the Borg sounds installed first time. Thought I had better let you know.
Guest midnight Posted December 31, 2003 Report Posted December 31, 2003 this will need an unlocked E200 i would think :)
Guest hecatae Posted December 31, 2003 Report Posted December 31, 2003 and install to phone not card to hazard a guess.
Guest pride Posted January 1, 2004 Report Posted January 1, 2004 I don't think it makes a difference as it updates the registry and therefore doesn't take up any space on the phone
Guest SuperCharger Posted January 1, 2004 Report Posted January 1, 2004 does this work on mio 8380 and if so has anyone confirmed an improvement?
Guest Fonefanatik Posted January 1, 2004 Report Posted January 1, 2004 Mmmmmmmmm :? Ok,just installed this on my phone.......to be honest I can't say I notice any difference in performance, unlike the speed tweaks which I had on my SPV MK1.Anyone else get this working? I'll be well impressed :) if this tweak gets worked on as the E200's already pretty damn quick! Posted while recovering from a particularly nasty hangover...still
Guest fitz Posted January 27, 2004 Report Posted January 27, 2004 I have to agree, I haven't noticed much difference. My Free Memory seems to be generally higher at about 11,900kb instead of 9,250kb, but this could be because I haven't noticed it before.
Guest carlosp_uk Posted January 27, 2004 Report Posted January 27, 2004 I tried this on my E200 and it seemed to work fine at first... ...but then, occasionally I would go to compose a new SMS and the screen would not update the menus correctly at the bottom. Anyone else have this?
Guest ultimasnake Posted January 29, 2004 Report Posted January 29, 2004 errr... i just patched it and i wonder what i had in speed gain .. what did you change midnight?
Guest ClintEastman Posted January 29, 2004 Report Posted January 29, 2004 There is a MPx200 specific one I made in the MPx200 forum, just noticed this one! I personally wouldn't use this one on a MPx as it sets the cache smaller than the factory setting!! MPxBoost
Guest ultimasnake Posted January 29, 2004 Report Posted January 29, 2004 can you software maticly change the cache size? i wonder if we can do the same with virtual memory
