Pass Through Internet

Using pass through internet connection.

Over BlueTooth to my laptop (which is then on home LAN which is on Broadband with FreeServe)

I can access general internet/web stuff fine

Orange specific sites though, come up with "you do not have permission to access on this server" type message.

Services like Orange Update and MSN Messenger also do not work

Everything works fine when using GPRS.

Any ideas?

Orange services can only be accessed (as far as I know) when connected via GPRS (orange). Pass through connection will not allow this (however you can check for/ download updates and backup via pass through)

I know that I should be able to connect to BAckup and Update, as they work fine on pass through on my original SPV, just not the E200 - didn'T used to have trouble with my SPV when checking orange web pages either

The Orange links have broken since O started Orange World Access, all the helpful services it provided moved to wap.orange.co.uk which seems to only be available when connected direct to the Orange network via GPRS.

I used to use the O pages through Passthrough on my SPV before they changed it :)

That's one way to make you increase your GPRS package subscription I suppose. I'll just need to find some alternate sites that provide the same content now.
