SPV Smartphone & SMS Problem

Happy New Year Everyone!

With 35 minutes to go till 2004, my SPV Smartphone has developed a problem :-(

I recieved an SMS earlier this evening, but the phone was running slow at that point in time, and the little clock was spinning.

So, when I went to read my text message, there was nothing in the inbox. Even though the sms counter on the main screen said there was 1.

Now it is stuck, I can send and recieve sms perfectly well. However my counter is stuck on 1.

Can anyone help?
