Incentive for upgrading

Hi,

When I was on o2 pay as you go at the start of the year, i phoned O2 up and asked for my number to be transferred to orange pay monthly. They tried talking me out of it, saying they'd give me 3 months free line rental if i stayed with o2.

I am thinking of actually moving back to o2 (i am currently on orange). Has anyone had any experience of orange offering some sort of incentive to stay with them when you have tried to move to another network?

Well I got a free upgrade to an MPX instead of paying £49.99 :)

Best thing you can do is ask,they can only say no.Just do the same as you did with O2,give them your reasons throw in a little white lie here and there and play them off against each other.Remember they are here to provide us with a service if they want your custom bad enough they should be prepared to offer you an incentive to do so.

didn't i read on here somewhere that somebody was given to SPV E200, one of which wasn't due for upgrade just yet, they waived the fees aswell ??? Sure it was on here about 1-2 weeks ago ?
